The most internationally famous fashion designer that we have is Donatella Versace. She was born in the year 1955 in Italy. She completed her graduation from Florence University, and later became associated with her brother Gianni and brought the Versace label to new heights. Donatella Versace started designing accessories first and then later on went to design children’s wear in the year 1993 known as Versace young

So with the death of her brother Gianni her life took a new turn and from then Donatella has been handling everything independently. She brought the Versace Fashion house to new heights. Today she is very successful and has two kids Allegra and Daniel.

Today she not only has a fashion house but her five star Versace hotels are also booming. The Versace Company was founded in the year 1978 in Milan by Gianni Versace who was one of the most talented fashion designer. Gianni Versace SPA is one of the international leading fashion design house. It designs, manufactures and retails fashion and lifestyle products including prêt-a-porter, jewellery, fragrances, fashion accessories, cosmetic and furniture under different brand names.

The brands of Versace cover two different segments of the market:

The high end segment of the market is covered by Gianni Versace collection which includes dresses, watches, jewellery, fragrances and home furnishing. All these are distributed world wide through 81 boutiques and it has 123 corners in multibrand departmental stores.

The second segment targets the younger generation which is covered by the Versace collection, Versace sport, Versace jeans couture and Versace brands.

In the year 2000 Gianni Versace SPA along with Sunland group ltd. A leading Australian development company opened “Palazzo Versace” which was the first hotel project bu a fashion company. This six star hotel which is located on the Australian gold coast gives tourists to experience the Versace luxury.

The Versace group is owned completely by the Versace family. Santo Versace is the president of Versace board and Donatella Versace is both the vice president and creative director of the company.

In the year 2004 Giancarlo di Riso was appointed as the managing director of the company to restructure the company.
